Weekend's Bets from The Gambling Goosecast
Let's start this post by apologizing about last week's bets. I definitely shit the bed on those. The good news is a brand new weekend is here with a brand new slate of bets. Now let's get to it you filthy degenerates!
Friday: Milwaukee Bucks vs Toronto Raptors
Game 1 of this series was a close one. That is until the fourth quarter where the Bucks outscored the Raptors 32-17 winning the game 108-100. The Greek Freak finished with 24 pts and 14 rebounds, but the real star of the game was Brook Lopez. The 7 footer put up 29 pts and 11 rebounds, playing great in the 4th quarter with solid defense to shut Kawhi and the Raptors.
Game 2 will be a little different. The bucks will win this by more. The writings on the wall, Giannis is an Avatar that cannot be stopped.
Aside from that bizarre game 1 lost to the Celtics last round, the bucks look unbeatable and I do not see them losing another game on there way to the finals. Put it in the books!
Milwaukee Bucks -6.5
Saturday: UFC Fight Night 152
Rafael Dos Anjos vs Kevin Lee
This will be Kevin Lee's debut at welterweight (170 pounds) after struggling to make weight at lightweight (155 pounds). Dos Anjos moved to welterweight back in 2017 and started off great, with 3 fight win streak. That is until losing two in a row to Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman. The two things those names have in common? Great wrestlers with good stand-up. Wrestling has always been the Achilles heel for Dos Anjos.
That's why I'm picking Kevin Lee. He is very well rounded with good boxing, wrestling, and jiu jitsu. If Dos Anjos can keep this fight standing he will have a good shot at winning. The problem is I dont think he can stop the takedowns that Kevin Lee will inevitably use. Put it in the books!
Kevin Lee (-110)
Saturday: Wilder vs Breazeale
Deontay Wilder is the current WBC Heavyweight champion with a record 40-0-1 with 39 knockouts. The guy is a straight up killer. He may not be the most technically skilled boxer, but he has one thing you cannot teach, power. He is definitely one of the hardest hitters in the history of boxing. He's come under some scrutiny after he was recorded saying "I am still trying to get me a body on my record. Dominic Breazeale asked for this. This is the only sport where you can kill a man and get paid for it at the same time. It's legal. So why not use my right to do so?"
Those are some scary words, but I don't understand all the people that are shocked by that quote. These guys punch people for a living, what do you expect?
Dominic Breazeale 20-1 with 18 KO's. Is only loss was against current IBF title holder Anthony Joshua. Breazeale is a slick boxer with good conditioning and outstanding toughness. Can he avoid getting knocked out by Wilder? Probably not. My bet for the fight is Wilder by KO. Put it in the books!
Deontay Wilder by KO (-250)
Saturday: Portland Trailblazers vs Golden State Warriors
It looks like Kevin Durant's injury is worse than everybody thought.
This is not good news for the Warriors. I don't think they need him to beat the Blazers, but good luck against the Bucks or the Raptors (let's be real, it will be the Bucks). Portland is favored by 2.5 in this game. They will not win this game. Golden State wins with ease, eventually sweep the series, and punches there ticket to the NBA finals. Put it in the books!
Golden State Warriors +2.5
So there you have it. Let's recap.....
Milwaukee Bucks -6.5
Kevin Lee -110
Deontay Wilder by KO -250
Golden State Warriors +2.5
Thats it for this weekend. Mark my words....These picks will pan out better than last weekend. Put it the books and win some fucking money!
