Weekend Bets Recap. (There Will Be No Maui Trip ☹️)

I sure hope everyone faded me this weekend. It was one of those weekends that was not kind to the bank account. I'm going to recap the disaster of a weekend I had.

Seton Hall @ Marquette

My Pick: Marquette -1.5

What Actually Happened…

Seton Hall came out firing in the 1st half with a 44-35 point lead in the first half with the help of there center Sandro Mamukelashvill and guard Myles Powell. The second half turned out even 44-44. Markus Howard still had a great game scoring 37 points, but one player cannot win the game. Seton Hall won 88-79, destroying my bet.

Brooklyn Nets @ Miami Heat

My Pick: Heat -7

What Actually Happened…..

Miami came out strong with a 57-49 point lead in the 1st half. Everyone looked great and I was confident I was going to cover with ease going into the 4th quarter, since Miami was winner 91-80. Except guess what? I didn't cover, Miami went cold in the 4th and Brooklyn stayed Consistent. The final score was 116-113 which Miami won but didn't cover. Once again destroying my bet.

Joseph Benavidez vs Deiveson Figueiredo

My Pick: Joseph Benavidez -155

What Actually Happened….

Benavidez came out strong in the first by sticking and moving. He escaped a armbar that was locked in, but that was the only time he was in danger. Benavidez won the first round 10-9. The second round was a different story. Benavidez was getting a little bit too reckless throwing wild overhand lefts. At about 1 minute and 30 seconds into the round both fighters collided heads. Benavidez opened up immediately and started bleeding. As he was scrambling away from Figueiredo he got caught with a straight right that put him to the canvas. Fight over and bet destroyed!

Mikey Garcia vs Jessie Vargas

My Bet: Jessie Vargas +350

What Actually Happened…..

The fight started out promising for Vargas where he arguably won 3 of the first 4 rounds. He was using his size against Garcia and landing punches. That's pretty much where things took a turn for the worse, Garcia dropped Vargas in the 5th which gave him a 10-8 round. After that, Garcia won 5 of the last 7 rounds, dropping Vargas again in the 10th. Garcia wins by Unanimous Decision.

Now, did I actually think Vargas was going to win? I was not very confident. I just liked the odds. None of that matters though, Garcia destroyed my bet, making me 0-4 for the night. Hopefully everyone faded me. If you didn't, I apologise and will do better next weekend.
