Weekend Bets…. The Recap

Before the weekend I was lost without sports. Thinking, what the hell am I going to bet on? Well, Dana White came to bat and kept the UFC going. So with my excitement, I decided to give the people some picks for the weekend. Let's just say, I HOPE YOU FADED ME.

Bet 1

Damien Maia +155 Over Gilbert Burns

This fight started out exactly how I thought it would. Maia was lunging at Burns with straight rights hoping to land a takedown. Well, he got the takedown and looked like he was getting things under control. Then things went to shit! Burns scrambled out of position and got back up, Maia was forced to stand up and strike. Burns then threw a perfectly timed left hook while Maia was throwing a jab. The left hooked connected and sent Maia down like a redwood being chopped down by Paul Bunyan. Burns then got on top of Maia and threw Donkey Kong Punches until the ref stopped it.

Loss: Maia loses by KO

Bet 2

Johnny Walker -150 Over Nikita Krylov

Once again this fight started out just like I thought it would, with Walker coming out hyper-aggressive and throwing some unorthodox strikes. Things started to go down hill once it became obvious that Krylov came in with a game plan. He utilized a great combination of strikes and takedowns to control the majority of the fight.

Loss: Walker Loses by Unanimous Decision

Bet 3

Kevin Lee -145 Over Charles Oliveira

This was the main event of the card and an exciting matchup. Lee is a solid wrestler with overall good striking against Oliveira, who is a elite submission artist with a decently delevoped striking game. As long as Lee avoided the ground he should win. Well that's what I thought at least. First round started out with Lee control the octogan with strikes until Oliveira took him down and attempted several submissions, which Lee escaped. Lee won the first round, but after that he looked tired. He attempted a few takedowns because Oliveira was out pacing and smothering him. It all came to an end in the 3rd round when Lee attempted a single leg takedown, but ended up getting submitted.

Loser: Kevin Lee loses by 3rd round Submission

So if you faded me, Congrats! If not, I apologise and will do better next week.
