Your Coronavirus Binge List

Your Coronavirus Binge ListYour Coronavirus Binge List

So we’ve made through almost one week of quarantine! Congrats you did it! But also, you’re probably going just a little bit crazy. There’s only so much you can do in your home. You can cook, clean, read, do an at-home workout, or get on Call of Duty and play a little Warzone (personal favorite).

Or you can stream and binge some shows. I wanted to give you guys a list of some shows I’m currently planning on watching while we are locked up:

1) Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Where to find: Hulu, NBC)

I’ve been told so many times that I’d love this show. People tell me it’s right up my alley. Don’t know why I ever doubted them, but they were right. I started this show and it’s HILARIOUS! It has a Parks & Rec vibe meets NYPD Blue. Andy Samberg is on point as an egotistical detective in what is probably NYPD’s worst precinct according to the show. Terry Crews is typical Terry Crews: Intimidating looking but soft and sweet personality.

2) Schitt’s Creek (Where to find: Pop, Netflix)

I’ve watched a little bit of this show and I have to say it’s very underrated. The only reason why people haven’t been able to watch this show is because it’s on ViacomCBS’ Pop Network, which is VERY unknown. The reason why it gained steam? Netflix! Eugene Levy (aka the dad from American Pie) stars alongside Catherine O’Hara and his son, Dan Levy, as a bankrupt rich family escaping to a poor area to try to live their pompous life. The show comes with all forms of humor while also hitting on some good life lessons. The show’s series finale on Pop will air April 7.

3) Ramy (Where to find: Hulu)

Hulu has done a great job creating original content recently. Ramy is no exception. This show won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Series (Comedy or Musical). The show is a bio show based on stand-up comedian/creator Ramy Youssef. It follows Ramy on a journey where he wants to live a normal life of a young man in America, while also trying to balance the lifestyle of his Muslim culture. While the show only has one season, it is jam packed with lessons for today’s youth and why you should live the life you want/are meant to live.

4) The Chef Show (Where to find: Netflix)

When Jon Favreau made Chef in 2014, it came when a new cooking culture was sparking in the country/world. Fast forward 5 years and you’ll get Favreau’s first true attempt at a non-scripted show: The Chef Show. The show features Favreau and Roy Choi, who started the Kogi taco truck here in Los Angeles, either traveling to unique and famous restaurants or Favreau hosting his celebrity friends in his home kitchen while cooking signature dishes from films or restaurants connected to the guest. Some of the actors that have appeared include Robert Downey Jr, Tom Holland, Seth Rogen, Sam Rami, Wolfgang Puck, and more. The show already has a vast collection of episodes and could spark your inner chef.

5) Westworld (Where to find: HBO, HBO Go, HBO Now)

Westworld is incredible. Literally, you could binge any show on HBO and I’ll tell you that you chose right. Yet, Westworld seems so appropriate right now. For one, season 3 just premiered on 3/15. The show itself has great lessons in being careful who you can trust and where you let loose on your vices. Not to mention, the show is very entertaining with the multiple timelines within the first two seasons and the outstanding cast that features Jeffrey Wright, Rachel Evan Wood, James Marsden, and Tessa Thompson. If you like country western action and sci-fi mixed together, Westworld is your show!

There are so many other great shows that I could recommend, but these five are a great starting point! You could go back and watch classic shows or have a movie marathon.

Let us know what you’re watching or if you want other recommendations!
