Who in the hell is Gardner Minshew?

Week 1 was an interesting week as always. It’s always a tough week to bet on. Nobody really knows how there team is going to perform. That’s what makes it exciting. I could give you a breakdown of every game from week 1, but that’s boring. What i’m going to do instead is break down last weeks bets from episode 82 of The Gambling Goosecast.

My Pick: Baltimore Ravens -7 vs Miami Dolphins

This game was an absolute blowout! Miami looked like a high school JV squad out there. Lamar Jackson went full Thanos God Mode and threw for 5 tds. It looked like an adult playing a toddler in Madden. Baltimore easily covered the 7 point spread winning 59-10.

My Pick #2: Kansas City Chiefs -4 vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Before the started I placed a bet on the Jaguars under 7.5 wins for the season. Even though they lost week 1, they didn’t lo look as bad as I though they would. Nick Foles got injured in the first quarter and in came Gardner “Mutha Fuckin” Minshew. I’ll be honest, I had no idea who Gardner Minshew was, but I know him now. He went 22-25 with 275 yards passing and 2 tds. That still wasn’t enough to beat Mahomes and the Chiefs though. Mahomes threw for 3 Tds and all of them were to Sammy Watkins. There offense looks like they did last year. Which is terrifying! Chiefs won 40-28, covering the 4 points with ease and making my record for the week 2-0.

Rods Pick: Detroit Lions -2.5 vs Arizona Cardinals.

This looked like a lock all of the way until the 4th quarter. Kyler Murray led his team back throwing 2 tds in the 4th quarter. The game went to overtime where both teams scored a field goal and ended up in a tie. A fucking tie!!! A tough loss for Rod making his record 0-1.

Poor Gus….

The halftime score of this game was 17-14 with the Bengals leading. All Gus needed was 13 total points in the second half. Well guess what? They only scored 10.

The game ended with Seattle winning 21-20. Missing the over by 3 points. Gus's record is now 0-1. Step your game up Senior!

Overall last week the podcast went 2-2. This week will be different. Listen to the newest episode to get your locks in before Sunday. Put it in the books!
