Weekend Bets to Help Pay for that Trip to Maui

Who's ready for another weekend of gambling? I know I am! After going 1-3 last weekend and licking my wounds all week, I'm ready to cash in big with these for 4 locks that will give you a small taste of financial freedom. Let's get to the meat of the article!

College Basketball

Seton Hall at Marquette

Seton Hall is (20-7) so far this season and currently ranked 13. Marquette is (18-9) and currently unranked. Marquette is favored by -1.5, so some would think the easy bet would be on the ranked team. They would be wrong! Marquette has one of, if not the best player in the country in Markus Howard. The dude is averaging 27.3 points per game, and if there’s one thing I know about sports, it's star players show up in big games. Put it in the books!

Marquette -1.5

NBA

Brooklyn Nets at Miami Heat

The Nets are (26-32) and the Heat are (37-22) this season. The Heat are favored by -7 in this game and I think that line is a gift. Brooklyn is absolutely terrible on the road against the spread going 4-10 in there last 14 road games with a season total of 11-18, which is the 3rd worst in the league. The Heat have been a surprise this season and are currently 4th in the Eastern Conference. They also lead the league in against the spread home games with a record of 19-8-1. Jimmy Buckets is no joke and it shows. Miami covers this with ease. Put it in the books!

Miami Heat -7

UFC

Joseph Benavides (-155) vs

Deiveson Figueiredo (+125)

This fight is for the vacant Flyweight title which Henry Cejudo relinquished because of not defending it since January of 2019. The Flyweight division is in desperate need of a star. I think Joseph Benavides could be that star. It's been six years since his last crack at it. He lost that fight by 1st round KO to the Flyweight GOAT Mighty Mouse Johnson.

That was a brutal KO, but since then 9-1. He is due for another title shot. Hes going up against Deiveson Figueiredo who has a career record of 17-1. Figueiredo has missed weight for this fight, which means he will forfeit 30% of his fight purse to Benavides and will not be able to claim the title if he wins. It's just an overall bad situation for him. The writing is on the wall here, Benavides finally wins the belt after six long years of climbing back up the ladder. Put it in the books!

Joseph Benavides -155

Boxing

Mikey Garcia (-500) vs Jessie Vargas (+350)

Mikey Garcia is 39-1 with 30 KO's. He is definitely no slouch, and before getting his first loss last March to current undefeated IBF welterweight champ Errol Spence Jr, he looked invincible.

That was his first fight at welterweight and he looked lost. Spence dominated every aspect of that fight. He's fight Jessie Vargas, who is 29-2-2 With 11 KO's. Vargas is a fighter that loves to come forward and smother you. Now Mikey Garcia is the favorite for a reason here, he's a surgeon in the ring and has an all around game. I just think that Garcia might be too small for welterweight and with the odds of plus +450 for Vargas, I can't pass that up. Put it in the books!

Jessie Vargas +350

Good Luck to everyone! See you next week.
