NHL Offseason Checkpoint
The excitement level is starting to ramp up now that we are potentially a month and some change away from the season getting started. With how the NHL handled the bubble and protocols for this nagging Corona Virus, I am confident we will be under the way on January 1st.
Grading the Reverse Retro Jerseys
The NHL has completely distracted the world from the fact that nobody knows when the 2020-21 season will begin. Hopefully we get a Jan. 1 Winter Classic season opener. For now, we’ll settle for debating over which team got the best “reverse retro” jersey. 2019 New NHL Jersey Ratings (UPDATED)
I believe it was during the 1990’s to boost merchandise sales that the NHL introduced 3rd jerseys. Ever since then, we’ve been treated to some of the greatest hockey uniforms in history, but also some of the worst. No, but I do feel that this new lineup of hockey sweaters is worth putting through a grading scale.
Blues Win the Stanley Cup
It’s been a long season but we made it. Game 7 between the Blues and Bruins ended last night with St. Louis coming out on top and claiming their first ever Stanley Cup championship.
Stanley Cup Final Preview: Bruins vs. Blues
So, here we are. The Stanley Cup Final has been set. St Louis was able to defeat the Sharks in 6 games to advance to their first Cup Final appearance in 49 years. Ironically enough, the last time they made it here, they faced off against the Boston Bruins. Almost half a century later, we have a rematch between the two on the big stage.
Conference Final Preview: Sharks vs. Blues
The Western Conference Final is set. San Jose and St. Louis both won their game 7s in round two, which set them up for what should be a great conference final in the west.
