Final Thoughts on the 2020 NYR Season
Historically, the Rangers dominate Carolina. It’s just one of those teams that the Rangers seem to beat often. But not this time. The Hurricanes didn’t just beat the Rangers; they embarrassed them. Top to bottom. Defense, offense, goaltending, physicality, goal-scoring, you name it, the Canes brutalized the Rangers in 3 games. That was tough to watch, but hey, at least it was over quick.
Mika Zibanejad Needs to be the Next NYR Captain
The Rangers have been without a captain since Ryan McDonagh was sent to Tampa in a massive trade back on Feb. 26, 2018. Ever since he left, there has been a void in leadership among the Rangers. Sure, there have been veteran players who have brought plenty of experience and quality mentoring to youngsters; but nobody who fits this mold has brought the skill on the ice consistently enough to deserve the C…. Until this season.
