NHL Uni Rankings (Top 4)
4. Toronto Maple Leafs
Blue and white. The maple leaf crest. The history behind it. Needless to say, that the Leafs have one of the most admired looks in hockey. Thank goodness they dropped the socks with the 3 large stripes back in 2016-17 because those were hideous. The look they have now is one they should hang on to for a long time.
3. Detroit Red Wings
The Red Wings are another 2-color team. The red and white is another respected look. The one advantage I give to the Wings over the Leafs is their logo. The Winged Wheel is absolutely beautiful. One disadvantage to the Red Wings: the captain letters located on the right shoulder instead of the left. That just annoys me.
2. New York Rangers
This was tough. The Rangers will always be #1 in my heart, but I had to be true to myself. The Rangers unis are perfect. The red, white, and blue is the best look in sports. The striping is perfect. The diagonal lettering across the front is synonymous with hockey. The Rangers were the first to do it. The red pants contrast seamlessly with their unique glove style. Its actually tough to tell which ones are nicer between the blues and the whites. The Rangers would be #1 on my list, but….
1. Montreal Canadiens
The Montreal Canadiens have stolen my heart with their red unis. Their whites are nice too, but nothing compares to those reds. They are impeccable. The chest stripe wraps all the way around the entire jersey! The blue pants and helmets is such a beautiful setup. The gloves are distinctive, and just like the Rangers, contrast seamlessly with the rest of the uniform. The Rangers were a close second, but it has to be said: the Montreal Canadiens have the best unis in hockey.
